According to the vice principal of North Vernon High School, regarding the students at the school where he works, “Kids group themselves by race, and that concerns me because I want tolerance for differences. This issue is important for me to look at. We need to see how we might facilitate (tolerance for diversity) for the kids so that can reduce student conflicts.” Like many principals and administrators, he places high priority on promoting a safe school environment, constantly seeking ways to minimize disruptions.
