As I write this, Rosa Parks died exactly one week ago. Today her body is lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C. Much has been made of her being the first woman among the 29 Americans to be so honored. But, in addition to her gender and her race, I am interested in another difference between her and the others who have lain in state in the Rotunda.
