Shop Service Learning Reaches Out After 9/11

WHEN we talk of developing our students’ minds and hearts, we really mean developing their cognitive and affective maturity levels. While, we have enough curricular requirements and tests and measurements for the cognitive area, the affective domain of learning covers such hard-to-measure areas as values, beliefs, emotions, attitudes, and opinions. Tangible, specific, developmental programs or activities in this area do not often show up in the formal context of school programs.
